Teaching Staff

Garth Olcese

Garth Olcese teaches Social Studies and Business studies at Surval Montreux. Garth hails from the United States and over the last two decades he has lived and worked in nine European countries from Spain to Ukraine.

In addition to his teaching certification, Garth holds advanced degrees in international relations, political economics, and law and is a licensed attorney in the United States. Prior to certifying as a secondary school teacher, Garth worked in the non-profit sector as a research analyst, for the government as a competition law specialist and most recently in the business sector as a learning and development consultant for a Cambridge University consultancy servicing clients such as DLA Piper, Shell, SAP, and KPMG.

He is an extremely proud father of a phenomenal son, a passionate, self-taught musician, a super-fan of stand-up comedy, an amateur computer programmer, and a believer that Labrador Retrievers might be angels in disguise. On the rare occasions that he has spare time, he enjoys playing classic video games from the 1970s and 1980s.
