The curious world of Charlie Chaplin

Posted on: 25th November 2016 | Category: Boarding life, Music, theater and art

We went to Charlie Chaplin’s World in Vevey. We first saw his house which is where he lived when he was here in Switzerland. It is a lovely big house with an outstanding view of the lake and the mountains and has very pretty gardens. During the visit we went to the studio and were able to see a short film about his life and all the movies he made as well as an inside look at the making of his films. Afterwards, we saw some wax figures of him and of some of the people who made an impact in his life, such as Michael Jackson and Albert Einstein. It was a great opportunity to practise our French, because the museum is presented in French and also to learn more about this outstanding entertainer.
