Scandinavia Tour

We are delighted to share the highlights of our truly unforgettable two-week Scandinavia tour, which took place over the Spring holidays. Our girls travelled through Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, immersing themselves in breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural experiences, and moments of genuine adventure and connection.

The trip began in Copenhagen and the opportunity to sample Danish life — from exploring the colourful streets of Nyhavn to experiencing local traditions through a baking workshop: the sense of discovery and excitement was immediate.

The journey continued through Sweden, travelling through charming, seaside towns and onto some unique wildlife encounters. One of the most memorable moments was the porpoise and whale watching experience along the Swedish coast.

Valentina shared:
“I think this Scandinavia trip was a very memorable trip. It was really fun and we learned a lot. My favourite part of the trip was the Porpoise Watching in Sweden.”

Andrea reflected:
“The Scandinavia trip was really fun, we did lots of activities. The landscapes were beautiful.”

From Malmö to Gothenburg and finally through to stunning Norway. It was a pleasure for  me to chaperone this stage of the itinerary, which included the famous long  train ride from Oslo to Bergen, over the dramatic and frozen mountain wilderness separating these two iconic and very contrasting Cities. Whether exploring museums, travelling through magical fjords, or enjoying various group activities, each day brought something new.

Tabitha commented:
“It was really interesting to see different cultures.”

A highlight for many was the combination of nature and cultural immersion — from coastal exploration in Sweden to hands-on experiences like baking in Copenhagen.

Mary Alex shared:
“For me, the highlight of the Scandinavian trip was the whale watching in Sweden or maybe the pastry making class in Copenhagen. With the whale watching we got to see the coast of Sweden, and that was really beautiful.  Copenhagen was also really pretty and they had a lot of good bakeries. The pastry making was really interesting, and I was able to learn a skill that is such a big culture over there.”

From fjords to forests, from cities to coastal islands, the journey offered a wonderful balance of adventure, learning, and connection.  A trip, in typical Surval style, filled with laughter, discovery, and unforgettable memories, strengthening friendships along the way. We can all be incredibly proud of our young Ambassadors who once again showed real curiosity and genuine openness, together with an impressive tenacity and enthusiasm for new experiences.
