With students and staff from over 26 nationalities, Surval is a vibrant microcosm of the world. Every day, languages are spoken, traditions are shared, and perspectives are exchanged across the dining table, in classrooms, and during trips.

Our size makes this community especially close. Girls live and learn alongside peers from every continent, forming bonds that cross borders and last for life. They develop the empathy, adaptability, and open-mindedness that come from truly understanding others.
Living and Learning Globally
Internationalism at Surval is not limited to who is here; it is built into what we do. Academic programmes, enrichment activities, and travel opportunities are all designed to expand horizons:
- Languages: English and French are central, with options to study additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, German and more.
- Cultural immersion: Daily life in French-speaking Switzerland, combined with regular excursions in Europe, creates a natural environment for cross-cultural learning.
- Global perspectives in the curriculum: Courses, projects, and debates encourage girls to explore international issues, develop informed opinions, and consider their role as global citizens.
- Shared traditions: We celebrate festivals, national days, and important cultural moments from around the world.
