Kate Balnaves joined Surval in September 2022 to teach History. With a First Class Joint Honours degree in Theology and East Mediterranean HIstory and an MA in History she is passionate about the interaction of cultures, both past and present. She has taught in day and boarding schools in the UK and Switzerland. She believes in exercising both the mind and the body and enjoys sharing her many enthusiasms, whether leading a yoga class or teaching about the impact of viticulture on the history of the local region.
