Boarding at Surval

“This is our home and we live here”

Surval is a fun, exciting and inspiring environment to live and grow.  Surval is also a much-loved home; a family, to which we hope each girl feels she truly belongs. We ask that we all treat each other as we would members of our own family: with a real sense of care and support and that we all look after each other. We also ask our girls to treat the beautiful Surval house as they would their own home: making their beds and leaving rooms tidy, clearing plates having finished eating; and generally showing respect and to one another and their living environment.

The Surval Montreux Boarding staff provide a secure and homely environment which encourages each girl to explore, discover and develop. Our cultural diversity is something we celebrate and explore with mutual respect and openness.

The Boarding team works closely with all staff involved in the daily lives of our girls, supporting each other in preparing girls to be responsible world citizens, with confidence to embrace future challenges and success.

Our family-centred, structured and comfortable home-life helps the smooth induction of new students. Staff who work as part of the Boarding team often have a teaching commitment as well and each girl can feel secure in the knowledge that their struggles and achievements both inside and outside the classroom are understood and valued.

Bedrooms

Bedrooms are shared by 2 or 3 girls. Most rooms have balconies with a wonderful view of the lake or the mountains. All rooms have an in-house telephone and Wi-Fi connection, a safe and a fridge to store any drinks and snacks.

Bedrooms are a shared space where our girls can relax, talk with friends, contact family. Each girl has a bed, desk, shelves, wardrobe and is encouraged to personalise her own area, making her bedroom a home-from-home with photos, posters, teddies all a feature of her space.

Evening and Weekend Programme

The lively and entertaining evening and weekend programmes ensure girls make the most of their free time, and their fabulous Swiss location.

"To me Surval is a second home with a group of 'sisters' who have taught me a lot about themselves, and shown me more about myself."
