This has given her a vital insight into what global brand-leader corporations are seeking in young recruits.
Mrs Woodhouse writes ‘My priority is to get our girls to where they want to be. Many will go on to hold significant positions in their own countries. Our bespoke and imaginative curriculum, the wonderful cultural experiences and enrichment opportunities, together with a stunning location make Surval the school where a girl can discover who she really is and will leave us fully equipped for the challenges of the modern world. Poise and self-confidence, together with a strong sense of social responsibility, remain hallmarks of Surval students, as witnessed by our growing number of alumnae who come to visit and fondly reminisce.
Our size, with current capacity for 60 girls aged 13-19, ensures each and every student is known personally, her particular interests and aspirations catered for. It also makes for a happy, international family-based community, with boarding at its heart; providing ‘outstanding’ (as accredited by AdvancEd) academic and pastoral care for girls from all over the world, for whom the school is a real home from home.
It is an honour to take on this role from Penelope Penney and a privilege to build on her achievements, to ensure that Surval is the destination of choice for further generations of girls, who will be leaders of the future.
