Our winter camp provides the perfect opportunity to combine academic and physical challenge in a beautiful region of Switzerland, with stunning views over Lake Geneva and the mountains.
Those who join us as ‘Winter campers’ for part of the Winter term will become members of the international Surval community, and will enjoy many activities, and some classes, with girls who are here for the full school year.
Students develop their language skills either in English or French: they can take classes in cuisine and pastry, etiquette and make up, an extra language if they wish, or additional lessons in a school subject if they need this: horseback riding is also a popular elective! There are plenty of opportunities for skiing-the whole school has skiing on Thursday afternoons-and also at a weekend at Gstaad, Verbier or elsewhere.
A full ski week takes place in Anzère, close to the famous resort of Verbier. Anzère is equipped with 14 different installations, 1 cable car, 3 chair lifts, 7 T-bar lifts, 3 conveyor carpets, covering 58 kilometres of the ski resort. 11 kilometres of the slopes are covered by 120 snow cannons. There are no academic lessons: it is a full week of activities on the slopes, skiing, snowboarding or snowshoeing according to choice. Evening activities are organized within the resort which has many facilities in a safe location.
This winter camp is available for between three and eight weeks between 8 January and 5 March 2017, and caters for girls of all nationalities between the ages of 12 and 19. As always at Surval, students quickly make friends across the world, and as they all say, friends for life! We welcome you all!
