Alimentarium visit

Posted on: 18th January 2017

The first Saturday of 2017 saw our girls wake up to a thick blanket of white snow which completely covered the school and beyond. For some students this was the perfect opportunity to hop into their snow gear and rush outside to make snow angels, snow slides, plus time for a fun snowball fight. The afternoon soon came around and all the girls got on to the coach to nearby Vevey, where they visited the famous Alimentarium museum. This museum prides itself on its contribution to awaken people’s understanding about past and present issues which have surrounded the history of food. After their visit, the girls enjoyed free time to explore the beautiful town of Vevey; for some this was their first visit and for many brought the opportunity for that all important trip to Starbucks to grab a warming hot chocolate after their chilly start. It was then soon time to head back to Surval where a traditional Swiss raclette awaited us for supper...delicious!
