Charity Visits

Posted on: 13th October 2014 | Category: Commitment to communities

Groups of Surval students have been visiting the elderly at a retirement home in La Tour de Peilz, talking to residents, playing games, and even teaching water colour painting.  The clients come from many different nationalities and some were thrilled to meet girls from their own homeland. The residents have been extremely grateful for the kindness and friendship the students have shown. Congratulations girls!

“I love coming here and doing charity is such a great experience for me and my friends. We talk to them and bring them what they wanted, we played with them and practised our French. Then one of the women told me that she needed to go to Migros, and because she is blind she could not go alone so I offered my help and went with her while she bought everything she needed. We talk for a while and she teaches me some new words in French. It was an unforgettable experience I just love it.  I hope I come to see her soon.” (Vanessa, Colombia)

"This is what makes me smile, knowing that with just helping and talking with someone I could make a difference and make another person happy." (Roberta, Mexico)
