Exams finished - Time to visit the Red Cross Museum

Posted on: 11th December 2015 | Category: Swiss adventures, Trips and excursions

After a busy few days of exams, the girls were treated to a well-deserved day trip away to Geneva. Leaving Surval early Thursday morning, we arrived at the Red Cross Museum where we were taken on a very interactive tour, detailing the history and origins of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) that was established 150 years ago. The tour also gave insight into present day humanitarian action carried out by the Red Cross, including relief work in war-torn areas and those areas affected by natural disasters, with an overarching aim of protecting civilians across the globe. It was a very enlightening experience and one that the girls thoroughly enjoyed.
