Mrs Penelope Penney Headmistress Surval Montreux 2012 - 2016.

It is with great sadness we announce the death of our much loved former Headmistress Mrs Penelope Penney.

Mrs Penney retired from Surval Montreux in 2016 after four exceptional years of leadership. She transformed Surval during her time here and in the process created a transformational education here which is innovative and unique.
Through her outstanding skills expertise, vast experience and immense strategic leadership, Mrs Penney led Surval to become a leading light among international schools.

Before Surval, Mrs Penney enjoyed a highly successful career as Headmistress of three top Schools in England and subsequently worked in consultancy for Governors and Headteachers in the UK and across the world.

“The world has lost a great visionary in the world of education; Mrs Penney was also a wonderful mentor and good friend to me and to a great number of Headmistresses around the world. Likewise, there are generations of
impressive women who are a testament to her advocacy for girls’ education and vision of leadership”.

Mrs Penney passed away peacefully on Friday 31st August 2018; our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this sad time.
