Student induction games

Posted on: 8th September 2015 | Category: School Life

Induction weekend provided fun and challenge for students in equal measures. Noisy outdoor games were balanced with some serious concentration as our bidding architects and engineers constructed the highest possible towers of spaghetti and blu tac, to hold an egg. One enterprising Grade 8 girl suggested modelling her team’s effort on the electricity pylons, while another team used the tepee principle. It was good fun with some impressive lateral thinking in the results. Charades proved popular and gales of laughter were heard in the library as girls had to guess a word without the demonstrator using spoken language: quite a test for all our second language speakers! Treasure hunts around Montreux with a photography competition, and a walk through the woods up to Glion, completed an energetic and fun weekend in the sunshine.
