Students run 5km at the Swiss Bouge

Posted on: 15th May 2014 | Category: Sport, Swiss adventures

A group of 18 Surval students and some brave staff recently took part in the annual Montreux Bouge on a day of Montreux's finest weather. The girls completed the 5km course along the Lac Léman running, rollerblading, skateboarding and occassionally walking to admire all that our superb local setting has to offer.

Surrounded by Montreux residents of all ages, it was an amazing experience to share this event with the local community. Three Surval girls-Paula, Genoveva and Aitana, recorded some impressive times and as leaders in the competition these were announced over the loud speaker! The run was thoroughly enjoyed by all and proved to be an active afternoon well spent.

Below are some reflections from the girls:

"Today we had a great time. We had the opportunity to run a 5km race in Montreux. It was wonderful to run around the lake enjoying the view of the mountains, lake, flowers, and best.. surrounded with all my friends. We all finished it with an excellent time. I will never forget this experience. This has been my favorite race of all. It was so much fun."

Paola (Mexico)

"I loved the Montreux Bouge run because it was an experience that I will never get to repeat at another place with the same views."

Pilar (Paraguay)

"Today's evening was great!! I really enjoyed doing the 5k with my friends, but more than that, I enjoyed the feeling of achievement when I finished the race. It was a different and fun activity that I am sure everyone liked and enjoyed doing."
