“The joy of seeing each other again after so many years”

Posted on: 27th February 2019 | Category: Boarding life, Swiss adventures, Winter Camp

Earlier this year, eight Survaliennes from the class of 1986/87 met up for a Ski Reunion in St Anton...

Everything starts with an idea, a dream or with some pictures in a chat. About two years ago, Jodie Moos suggested how wonderful it would be to go skiing in Europe once again; and this turned out to be the birth of our Surval Ski Reunion. Our exciting plans became possible due to the existence of social media. We had the opportunity to reunite from the 12th until the 19th of January in St. Anton am Arlberg in Tyrol Austria. Eight former Survaliennes from Mexico, Australia, Germany and, even for a short visit, Switzerland, took part in the Reunion.

Less than twenty-four hours upon arrival we got snowed in! However, not even the heavy snowfall prevented us from having a fabulous time in a winter wonderland. We took walks, enjoyed the aprés ski and got extraordinary Mexican food from Lolis Caro. Then, on Tuesday, the weather cleared and our skiing days were not only sweetened by sunshine and outstanding snow conditions but also by the joy of seeing each other again after so many years. Upon departure on Saturday all of us agreed to plan many more Reunions, every two years.
