From Surval to Success: Charlotte’s Entrepreneurial Story

21 October 2025

Charlotte (2021, UK) joined Surval Montreux in 2018, where she spent three transformative years filled with learning, friendship, and discovery. Inspired by her time in our international community, Charlotte embraced the independence and confidence that Surval nurtures in every girl. Deeply engaged in Surval life, she brought energy to everything she did — from the Charity Committee to the vibrant spirit of our community.

Today, she has channelled that same spirit into entrepreneurship, founding her own Security Installation Company, proudly following in her father’s footsteps in the industry. Determined to chart her own course and “never have a boss,” Charlotte continues to embody the Survalienne values of courage, ambition, and self-belief — building a business, a vision, and a life entirely her own.

Looking back on my time at Surval from 2018 to 2021, I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing and memorable experiences of my life. Surval became more than just a school. I had the opportunity to meet and form lasting friendships with incredible people from all over the world — many of whom I am still in contact with today.

What made Surval so special wasn’t just the stunning location — though waking up to views of Lake Geneva and spending weekends skiing in the Alps was truly unforgettable — it was the people. The staff were genuinely caring and supportive, and living abroad gave me a real sense of independence. I developed confidence and a love for travelling that have stayed with me. It has definitely helped shape who I am today.

I’ve since gone on to start a business, which I now run alongside my family. Surval will always hold a very special place in my heart.
