We had the great pleasure of welcoming our Survalienne, Adriana Echandi (Class of 1997, Costa Rica) back to Surval, joined by her wonderful family. It was her first time returning since 1997—and yet, as she shared with us, the warmth and spirit of Surval still feel just the same.

Now the proud mother of two beautiful sons and the CEO of Morpho Travel Experience—a company that creates transformative, sustainable travel experiences across Latin America—Adriana continues to embody the values of global citizenship and purpose. This month, Adriana inaugurated Morpho's new spaces in the newly opened terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, Peru — a project rooted in her passion for connecting cultures and creating meaningful experiences for travellers around the world.
She shared fun memories from her Surval days—how emails from home were printed and handed out each evening, the special exchange organised by Mr Sidler with the Montreux Jazz Festival, and her favourite: photography class, where she loved developing her own photos in the darkroom, capturing moments and memories that still make her smile today.
Thank you, Adriana, for visiting us — it was a joy to have you back at Surval!
